Come join us from 4:00-6:00pm on Wednesday, January 17th to learn about the cultural importance of beadwork for First Nation communities.

Come join us from 4:00-6:00pm on Wednesday, January 17th to learn about the cultural importance of beadwork for First Nation communities. A brief history will be given before everyone learns how to create their own piece! You will be given the option of earrings or a leather bracelet, materials will be provided.

The teachings will be given by Abigail LeBlanc, a graduate and current student Georgian student enrolled in the Anishinaabemowin program at the Barrie Campus, who is a self-taught beader. She is Anishinaabe and M’ikmaq and comes from Jacksons Point in Georgina.
